Specializing in classic bar & grill fare, this local favorite serves up a mouthwatering lineup of dishes that are as satisfying as they are memorable.
The star of the menu, without a doubt, is their famous Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. Generously breaded and impressively thick, this sandwich is a revelation—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and perfectly complemented by the house’s signature beer-battered fries. Many diners, like Michael Lamb, have found themselves savoring every bite long after the meal, describing it as big enough to last for three meals and truly delicious. Other standout entrees include the Triple Decker BLT, loaded with hickory-smoked thick-cut bacon, crisp lettuce, and ripe tomato on Texas toast, as well as the Pulled Pork Nachos drizzled with tangy BBQ sauce—each dish bursting with bold flavors and hearty textures.
For those who like to start with something lighter or shareable, Christine’s offers an enticing variety of starters such as golden mozzarella sticks, crispy fried pickle chips, loaded fries garnished with cheese, bacon bits, jalapeños, and more. The bar & grill also shines with its consistently fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned fare, satisfying a wide range of appetites and cravings.
The dining atmosphere at Christine’s Firehouse is as much a draw as the food itself. The interior is warm, welcoming, and imbued with a true community spirit that makes every visit feel like a gathering of old friends. Aurora Miles captured this essence perfectly, noting the friendly smiles and speedy service that elevate the overall experience. Regular patrons appreciate the lively vibe—from the buzz of casual conversation to the live music nights on Thursdays and Sundays, which inject an electric energy and make for memorable evenings out. Although some noted the music didn’t always run late, the ambiance remains consistently engaging and cozy.

Overall great experience. The staff make it a hit! Food was fun but dry. The beer battered fries were a 10! I would suggest offering a white or brown gravy option for the HUGE tenderloin. They said live music but none was there after 9pm.
I stopped in to try the famous pork tenderloin sandwich and was not disappointed. Not only is this thing huge (I got three meals out of it), but it is thick, moist and delicious, especially when served with the beer-battered fries. Christine's itself is a great neighborhood hangout in NKC. The staff are friendly and efficient. There are daily specials and a large menu. I was pleased to find they had several local microbrews on tap (The Cinderblock IPA goes great with the tenderloin sandwich), and there are plenty of TVs offering sporting events. A great place to stop for lunch!
The wife and I were in Overland Park Kansas at a doctor's appointment, we got to talk and thought we would try Christine's Firehouse out for a tenderloin. So we drove to the north and got there, and went inside and was greeted very quickly by the waitress. Told her we were here for that famous tenderloin. We were served in oh my gosh it was huge. It was also very good tasting. The breading was almost perfect not a lot but just enough and very crunchy, the meat inside of the crunchiness was moist and with good flavor. That one Tenderloin was enough for both of us. Also had an order of onion rings, pretty darn tasty 2.
The service here was excellent—our server was super friendly, had a great smile, and made the experience even better. The location is easy to find, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. Food came out quickly, was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Between the fast, friendly service and the great overall vibe, this place is definitely worth a visit!
I have seen many posts about Christine's Firehouse in the past and have wanted to try it for a long time. Last week I saw a post that said they were disappointed. That the tenderloin was bland and the breading was falling off. So, that made me want to go find out for myself. My son and I went for lunch today. We ordered a tenderloin with tots and an extra bun. It only took a few minutes and our food arrived. It was blazing hot . Clearly made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp. It was HUGE! And even better, it was absolutely delicious! Nice, crispy breading, and perfectly seasoned. We could not have been happier with our lunch! Even took a big piece home to my wife. Fed 3 people for $15! We will definitely be back, and to anyone that sees a negative review, I would encourage you to go try it. It really is amazing. It was a great, friendly environment as well.
1st time visit today and man, it was awesome! Pork Tenderloin and BLT. I was full just from eating the overhang on the Pork Tenderloin and the fries! I had a sandwich left over after getting full.... Worth the trip!
This place is a hidden gem. Walking by it you would never guess this was inside! A great day sitting bar, regular takes and high tops. Service was the best part of it all and that says a lot! This was top two for Breaded Pork Tenderloins in my life! The meat was the perfect thickness, the breading was crispy and DID NOT TASTE LIKE FRYER OIL! The Sloppy Joe had a very good taste and spice! The Beer Battered Fries were very good as well.
